1. Thursday September 27th- Sunday September 30th. Jacksonville Home and Patio Show. Prime Osborn Convention Center. Thurs: 11am-9pm. Fri: 11am-9pm. Sat: 10am-9pm. Sund. 10am-6pm. Tickets are $10 for 13 and up, $5 for 6-12, and under 5 are free?at the door. You can go to JacksonvilleHomeShows.com and get advance tickets to save $3.
2. Friday September 28th, 7pm. Atlantic Beach Jordan Park. Twilight movie: the Lorax. Activities and refreshments start at 7pm, and the movie begins at twilight. Be sure to bring chairs, blankets and snacks. FREE.
3. Saturday September 29th. all day. Free Admission to National Parks day. For us that means Fort Caroline, Fort Matanzas, and Castillo De San Marcos in St. Augustine.
4. Saturday September 29th at 9:30am. Strut your Mutt.??A dog walk and festival featuring a leisurely walk with your dog, followed by a doggie themed festival featuring massages and ?paw-dicures? for your pets, dog yoga, contests, giveaways, kids activities and more. Registration starts at 8am, Strut starts at 9:30am and festival ends at 12noon.
5. Saturday September 29th, 9am- 3pm. FLFASD Craft Faire and Bazaar. Westside, child guidance center.
6. family oriented fun filled day at the FLFASD Craft Faire & Bazaar featuring arts and crafts, food, fun for the kids, and prizes galore! FREE.
7. Saturday September 29th 9-10am. Children?s Garden Workshop: Making seed balls.?Beaches, Jarboe park. All events include a ?What?s Growing in the Garden?? Tour, Watering the Garden, Books and/or Music, and a Garden-Themed activity, craft or food preparation. Free.
8. Saturday September 29th 10-2pm. Children?s Art Workshops.Fernandina, Island?art Association. Free guided art activities for school age children are provided by local artists.? Materials furnished. Free.
9. Sunday September 30, 12-1:30pm. Weight of the Nation: documentary screening. Sun Ray cinema in five points. The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, Healthy Jacksonville Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition, and the YMCA of Florida?s First Coast will be hosting a community screening of ?Weight of the Nation: Children in Crisis.?
10. Sunday September 30th from 4-6pm. Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio. Beaches, St. Pauls by the sea Episcopal church.? Beaches Fine Arts Series presents the famed Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio in a free concert, recorded by American Public Media for national broadcast on Performance Today. The trio are ?among the superstars of the chamber music world. Free
