There is no doubt that Honda has bounced back from last year?s nat?ural dis?as?ters, report?ing a quar?terly profit that quadru?pled to $1.7 bil?lion. Vehi?cle sales dou?bled in the key mar?kets of Japan and North Amer?ica but were weak in Europe.

Honda stuck to its fore?cast of 470 bil?lion yen ($6 bil?lion) profit for the fis?cal year through March 2013. That would be more than dou?ble what it earned last fis?cal year. It expects to sell 4.3 mil?lion vehi?cles for the fis?cal year, up by more than a mil?lion vehi?cles from 3.1 mil?lion vehi?cles for last?year.
