The Skinny on Fitness Celebrity Tracey Mallett | Skinny | Skinny ...

If you haven?t heard of Tracey Mallett, allow me to introduce you!? Tracey is an International Fitness & Wellness Expert, dancer, choreographer, Master Pilates instructor, and creator of The Booty Barre method.? Her roles in the fitness industry span from television host to author to creator of a best-selling line of fitness DVDs.? She also owns her own fitness and Pilates studio in Los Angeles.

Tracey Mallett is also a wife and mom to two amazing children, Amber and Ty. ?She has made it her mission to guide and motivate people ? especially other busy moms ? to lose weight and get fit with simple, practical exercise and diet solutions.

1. You?ve become such an amazing inspiration for so many moms. What advice do you have for busy moms on having a successful career while maintaining the role as wife and mother?
Always striving to get balance is my mission,? but as you know?it?s one of the hardest things to accomplish.? I constantly include my children in my business ventures so they understand exactly what I?m doing and why I love my job.? I think it?s important to teach your children a good work ethic and that nothing in life comes without putting effort into your goals.? It?s hard not to feel guilty, but I do know when we have our time together it?s high quality time.? My kids would not have me any other way, especially when I?m there for all their sports practices and cheering them on as a proud Mommy!

2. How do you find time to eat well and workout with your busy schedule?
I really do plan my workouts.? I?m on a set schedule otherwise work does get in the way.? Exercise is a priority in my life, and I practice what I preach which is my job as an inspiration to many women.

3. What activites do you like to do with your kids on your days off?
I love just hanging out with them!? We go to the movies and enjoy riding our bikes.? However, because my children are so heavy into soccer and swimming, this takes up a huge amount of our time.? I love it though, especially SOCCER?after all, I am British!

4. Where do you get your ideas for your workouts?
A lot of my ideas come from dance and just listening to music.? I?ll get my music that I?ll be using for a video and just move around coming up with moves.? It helps when I have one of my friends or instructors hanging out with me so we can inspire each other and feed off our creativity.

5. Do you have any exciting projects coming up?
Booty Barre is spreading so I will be traveling to Brazil, Moscow, and Australia.? I?ve also just finished my first 5 episodes for a new Lifestyle Show which will launch in September.? The show is geared toward busy women ? with short exercise, lifestyle, and nutrition tips.? So watch out for that soon!

6. What fitness, food, or health/beauty products are you loving right now?????????? Laura Mercier eye concealer, Lara Bars, Booty Barre, Pilates, and my new exercise wear is Splits59 and Body Language Sportswear.

7. Out of all your personal and professional achievements, what has been the most shocking or exciting?
Working with the First Lady for the Let?s Move Campaign on The Ellen Show, an incredible experience to be on stage with two amazing women who are making a difference in our world.

8. What keeps you motivated to maintain your fit lifestyle? What gets you through those bad days we all have?
It?s very simple ? I know how great I feel when I exercise and how bad I feel if I don?t.? I have a personal responsibility to be a role model not only for my children but for all the people who look to me as their inspiration.

9. What is your favorite healthy meal?
Fish with an array of steamed veggies and quinoa. I also LOVE Sushi!

10. What is your favorite ?cheat treat??
Cadburys Chocolate is my downfall.

11. What words of wisdom do you have for women to push through all the roadblocks & excuses, and become their best self?
Great advice is to be the best that you can be and not compare yourself to your peers.? It?s never going to be plain sailing, so expect some good days mixed with some bad days.? Learn to forget and only go forward, don?t dwell on the past.? Every day is a new beginning and there?s always time to carve at least 20 minutes to move your body.? Appreciate your beautiful attributes, not the negative.

My own personal fitness journey began with Tracey?s book Sexy in 6, and her Quickblast DVDs.? I will always be grateful to Tracey for getting me to love exercise and understand the importance of good nutrition.? I am truly honored to call her my friend.
